Bohri Mohalla Style Chana Batata

Guyssssssss this is just toooooooo good .

Firstly soak 250 gm brown chana overnight and pressure cooker put the soaked chana along with 5 medium sized potatoes (wash and use ) add enough water to soak the chana and potato , add salt to taste and pressure cook on high heat for first whistle and keep on low heat for 10 min .

Blend 3-4 green chilli , 10-12 cloves of garlic , half inch ginger and 2 tbsp dahi to a paste and keep aside

Soak 2 tbsp imli and 1 tbsp Kokam in warm water for half hour and blend to a fine paste and keep aside

Prepare barista of 4 medium sized onions and keep aside

For secret masala -Roast 1 tbsp whole Dhanya , 1 tbsp saunf , 1 tsp zeera and 3 dry Kashmiri chilli till fragrant and blend to a rough powder and keep aside .

In a Kadhai take some oil ( take oil in which you made barista) put 1 tsp zeera , half tsp hing , few curry leaves broken and sauté. Put the prepared green paste and sauté well , add the prepared secret masala , 1 tsp red chilli powder , half tsp haldi , half tsp garam masala powder, 2 heaped tbsp chana aata , little salt and sauté well . Add the chana water and boiled chana and mix . Cook on medium heat for 5-7 min . crush and add half the barista , a handful each of chapped Kothmir phudina , the kokam imli paste , juice of 1 Lime and mix . Cover and cook for 5-7 min . Dice and add the boiled potatoes and cook for 2-3 min .

Remove in bowl and garnish with chopped Kothmir phudina and barista. Serve hot.
