Tomato Soup

Hot tomato soup along with some crisp fried croutons is the best combination u can have when hunger strikes or when ur planning to have a light meal .

Firstly grind 4-5 big tomatoes to a paste and strain . You can add 1.5 glass water while straining as we want a thin consistency.

In a vessel heat 1 tbsp butter , add 1 tsp garlic paste and saute well , add 1 tbsp cornflour and saute more add the strained tomato juice slowly and keep stirring so that no lumps form ( don’t worry if u have lumps just blend it with a hand blender) add 1 tea cup tomato ketchup , half tsp white pepper powder , half tsp zeera powder , and salt to taste ( this soup is usually not spicy , if u like spicy just add half tsp red chilli powder along). Cook well for 3-4 mins till slightly thick u can add more water if the soup is very thick . Serve along with croutons or bread sticks .enjoy
To make croutons simply shallow fry or toast small cubes of bread till golden and crisp.
