Suva Wali Moong Ki Dal

Very simple and desi recipe and you will make again and again because of it’s amazingly delicious taste.

Soak 1 cup moong dal for an hour. Keep aside.
Chopperise 2 medium onions,8-10 green chillies and 15-20 cloves of garlic. Keep aside.

In a Kadhai, take oil, once hot put 1 tsp zeera, 1/4th tsp hing, chopperised garlic green chilli onion. Sauté and put salt to taste. Sauté till transparent. Add half tsp haldi, 1 tsp each of dhanya, zeera and garam masala powder and sauté. Add a little water and cook.
Add the soaked moong dal and cover and cook for 2-3 min. Then add 5-6 slit green chilli, a handful of chopped coriander, a generous handful of chopped suva bhaji ( dill leaves / shepu) and cover and cook till dal gets well cooked ( add water as and when needed to cook the dal perfectly)
Once done serve hot with chapati.
