Street Style Halwa Paratha

Super easy to make recipe that you can enjoy in breakfast or anytime of the day .

Firstly heat 3/4th cup ghee and add 1 cup fine Suji and sauté really well on medium low heat till light golden in color , add 1 tsp elaichi powder and sauté . Then add 1 cup sugar and 2 cups hot water mixed with orange food color . Mix well and cover and cook for 2 min then add 1 cup milk ( Original they don’t put in the street halwa but it gives a rich flavour)also add fried kaju if u like and mix well . cover and cook on medium low heat and keep stirring till rava is cooked and water has dried . Finally keep on dum on low heat for 5 mins and switch off heat . Serve hot along with paratha .

For paratha – knead together 1.5 cup wheat flour , 1.5 cup Maida , 2 tbsp suji and salt to taste . Mix well and knead with water to make a medium soft dough . Cover and rest for an hour .
Take a ball of dough and Roll into a thick roti and shallow fry on high heat till golden. Serve hot.
