Strawberry Trifle

Very easy and delicious recipe.

First to make vanilla custard, bring 500 ml milk to boil and add half cup sugar and 2 tbsp vanilla custard powder mixed in half cup milk . Keep stirring and cook for 4-5 min . Let cool.

For strawberry compote – chop 1 cup strawberries , to it add 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cornflour. Mix well and cover and keep for half hour . Then cook for a minute till thick . ( don’t over cook as we want those strawberry pcs , we don’t want to mash completely) keep aside.

In a bowl or tray layer with bread slice or a thin slice of vanilla sponge cake . Moisten with milk , add custard on top , followed by drizzle of compote , then put a layer of fresh cream mixed with powdered sugar or condensed milk ( simply mix 250 ml cream with 5-6 tbsp condensed milk or 3 tbsp powdered sugar)

Top with sliced strawberries and chill for 2 hours and serve chilled.
