Sheera / Suji Ka Halwa / Rawa

Sooo many names , one delicious indian dessert. So simple to acheive perfection in this one if u get the basics right.

Tip .. whenever making this , always use the same quantity of rava , sugar and ghee for perfect texture n taste. Use any cup to measure all 3 equally

Heat 1 cup of ghee in a kadhai , add 1 cup of rava and saute well till fragrant and pink ( this is a stage b4 it turns brown , we like it this way at home , not too light not too dark) add 1.5 cup of milk and 1 cup of water mix well and add 1 cup of sugar . Mix well and add a generous handfull of sliced nuts , 1 tsp elaichi powder and a pinch of saffron.cook on medium high heat till water starts to dry then Cover on cook on very low heat for 5-7 mins , give a stir 2 times in between. Serve hotttt. Tou can also add 100 gms of mava along with the nuts.
