Red Momo Chutney

A basic recipe is used for momo chutney , the only difference in chutney from different , restaurant or street stalls is the use of cornflour slurry , if u want u  can use slurry of half tsp cornflour mixed with 1/4th cup water and cook the chutney for 2 more mins. Also ajinomotto is used in their chutney , which i have skipped in my recipe , you can add if u wish.

Boil together 2 big tomatoes cut into 4 pcs , along with 4-5 Kashmiri red chillies , 5-6 cloves of garlic with a little water , just for 2 mins. Let cool  and blend to  a fine puree .

In a vessel heat little oil, and fry 1 tbsp chopped onion , 1 tsp chopped garlic  , half tsp chopped ginger for a few seconds , add the prepared puree and a little water , 1 tsp soya sauce , 1 tsp vinager , salt and 1 tsp sugar . Cook for 5mins and add cornflour slurry if u  want , cook more 2 mins and lwt cool and serve with momos or any starter.
