Ragda Pattice

One of the most loved chaat recipe.
For pattice … in a bowl mix 500 gm mashed potatoes , lots of chopped coriander , 3 sliced of bread soaked in water ( u have to squeeze out all excess water) 1 tsp red chilli powder , 1 tsp chaat masala , 4 chopped green chillies , salt , half tsp black pepper powder . Mix well make round flat pattice , roll in corn flour and shallow fry till golden and crisp.. these taste soo yummy u can have these as a starter as well with chutney or ketchup.

For ragda … soak 500 gm ragda overnight and pressure cook with 1 big glass of water , salt, half tsp haldi powder , 1 tsp zeera powder , some chopped coriander and mint , 4 tbsp oil . Pressure cook at high heat for first whistle then keep on low heat for 10 min. Sometimes what happens because of different quality of ragda . Sometimes what u get is a thick gravy kind with half mashed ragda just like we get outside . And sometimes the water is separate and the ragda is separate. So in this situation what u guys should do is . Make slurry of 2 tbsp roasted chana aata with 1 cup water . Add it to the ragda and cook till thick.
Assembling … in a small plate put 2 pattice and cover it with 2 big spoon of ragda . Drizzle some green chutney and meethi chutney, Sprinkle crushed puri , chopped onion , chopped coriander , zeera powder, chilli flakes and chat masala . ( sometimes for a change also add a drizzle of beaten dahi and some yellow sev)
