Onion Bhajiya

So guys bhajiya/pakora is something all of us crave very often , may it be monsoon or winter evening hunger pangs , or Ramadan here are 2 versions of onion bhajiya I make . In the pic above I have made street style version and added tomatoes as well u can add or skip it to ur wish .
Crisp street style….. in a big bowl mix 2 medium onions sliced , 6 tbsp chana aata , salt , chopped coriander , juice of half lime , 1 tbsp koota dhanya , 4 green chilies chopped , 1 tsp red chilli powder , half tsp zeera powder, mix well with a splash of water to a really thick batter , just so that the aata sticks well to the onion slices . Deep fry roughly in small portions till golden and crisp. (Check the consistancy of the batter in the pic )

Soft home style (can even be added to kadi) . In a bowl mix 1 sliced onion, some chopped coriander , salt , 6 tbsp chana aata , 1 tsp green chilli paste , pinch of baking soda , half tsp zeera powder , mix well with enough water to make a smooth batter . Deep fry in big drops (ball) till golden.

Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup or ghaati masala u can follow my recipe for instant ghaati masala.
