Mutton / Chicken Moti

These are similar to the pattice recipe from my last post . Almost as if pattice got a makeover and turned spicy from inside and pearl (moti) beautiful from outside šŸ™ˆ. For the filling … in a kadhai heat 250 gms chicken/mutton mince , add salt , 1 tbsp garlic paste , half tbsp ginger paste , 1 tsp red chilli powder , half tsp haldi powder , half tsp garam masala powder , Half tsp zeera powder , half tsp black pepper powder , 1 tbsp kasoori methi , 1 tbsp koota dhanya and 1 tsp kooti saunf . Cook well till dry. Let cool and mix in 3 green chillies chopped , juice of 1 lime , 1 cup chopped spring onion and lots of chopped coriander and mint.

For the potatoes .. Mash 500 gm boiled potatoes and mix in salt , 1 tsp red chilli powder ,and half tsp white pepper powder .
To make the moti …. grease ur hands with oil and take small ball of mashed potatoes and flatten it on ur palms to a flat circle . Put a spoon of filling in the centre and close from the sides . Roll with ur palms to make a ball shape . ( u can make big also but small balls look really pretty) dip the ball in beaten egg then roll in fresh breadcrumbs and fry till golden ( This turns crisp . U can reverse the process using crumbs first and egg last to make soft covering )
Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney .

If making crisp version u can freeze the balls without coating . If making soft then roll in bread crumbs and freeze for long.
