Mix Dal Tadka

A easy and delicious recipe for everyday cooking , specially when ur on a diet , a bowl of this dal and roti along with some salad and grilled chicken is the perfect combination.

Firstly in a pressure cooker put a handful each of , green moong dal , toor dal, masoor dal , and whole masoor . Wash and soak for half hour .
In the dal add half tsp haldi , half tsp red chilli powder, half tsp Dhanya powder, half tsp zeera powder, some chopped coriander and paste of 3 tomatoes . Pressure cook on high heat till first whistle and on low heat for 5 min.

Meanwhile in another vessel heat some oil and 2 tbsp desi ghee , add 1/4th tsp hing , half tsp whole jeera , few curry leaves , 4-5 slit green chillies, 1 finely chopped onion , and 2 tbsp chopped garlic . Fry till slight golden and add 1 tbsp Kasoori methi and sauté for a minute. Add the cooked dals and salt to taste . Cook for 5-7 minutes and keep stirring . Lastly add some chopped coriander and serve hot with chapati or rice.
