Hyderabadi Khatti Dal

This is the best dal ever . I’ve made a big portion but I’m givin go the recipe below which will be enough for 5-6 people

Firstly wash and soak 1 cup of toor dal . Then in a pressure cooker or vessel put the soaked dal , 2 green chilli, 3 roughly chopped tomato , half tsp haldi , half tsp red chilli powder , 1 tbsp garlic paste , 1 tsp ginger paste and boil till done . Blend to a fine paste or mash it . Add water if needed and then add salt , 2-3 broken green chilli, few curry leaves, some chopped coriander and 4 tbsp imli pulp . Cook for a good 5-7 mins and then pour Baghaar and put some chopped coriander. Switch off heat and serve hot

For baghaar – fry in a mix of oil and 1 tbsp desi ghee . 2 pinch hing , half tsp whole zeera , half tsp rai , 2 tbsp chopped garlic. , 2 slit green chilli and 2 broken dry red chilli, few curry leaves and half small onion chopped . Fry till golden and pour on the dal.
