Hummus Al Akhdar / Green Hummus

Authentic recipe calls for fresh basil and parsley , ive recreated the recipe with readily available ingredients at home . If u wish u can add fresh basil and parsley to enhance the taste.
Firstly soak half cup of chickpeas ( choley ke chane) overnight . Boil with salt and a pinch of baking soda in a pressure cooker on high  heat till the first whistle , then keep on low heat for 10 mins. Once cool , strain and keep aside.
In a blender blend together a cup full for fresh coriander , 1 tbsp dry parsley , 1 tbsp dry basil , 4-5 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp roasted white til , salt and half cup olive oil . Grind to a very fine paste. Add the boiled chickpeas , half cup dahi and grind to a fine paste . Add a little more dahi if needed to alter consistency.
Spread in a plate and garnish with olive oil , red chilli powder and a few olives. Serve with pita bread , or with nachos or chips or even bread sticks and cucumber or carrot fingers.
