Hari Akni (Green Pulao)
My mom’s recipe . I follow the same but can never get the taste of mom’s hands💕
Heat oil in a vessel and put 1 tbsp ghee ,whole garam masala , then add 2 sliced onions and fry till golden, add 1 chopped tomato and saute , add 2 tbsp garlic paste and 1 tbsp ginger paste ( use 1.5 each for mutton) and 1tbsp green chilli paste , saute and add 2 tsp dhanya powder, 1 tsp zeera powder , half tsp haldi powder , 1 tsp garam masala powder , juice of 1 lime and salt to taste. Saute well and add 750 gm chicken and potatoes (cook mutton first till done then add potataoes) saute and add 4 cups of water and paste of 1 whole bundle of kothmir .bring to boil then add 2 cups of washed and soaked rice . Cook on medium high heat till water is dry then put on dum on very low heat for 10 min. Give a nice mix in the end and serve hot with dahi kachumbar.
