Fillet-o-Fish / Chicken Burger
If you’re a fish burger lover u should try this out. Otherwise this tastes yumm with chicken as well.
Firstly marinate 1kg of fish cut into squares/ rectangle, with salt , half tsp black pepper powder, juice of 1 lime , 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp red chilli flakes and 1 tsp oregano.
Make a thin batter with 4 tbsp Maida , 1 tbsp corn flour, salt , 1/4th tsp haldi , 1 tsp red chilli flakes ,2tbsp red chilli sauce and half tsp oregano and water .
Coat fish with dry Maida then dip in batter and coat with fresh bread crumbs ( I’ve used sides of bread left over after making bread rolls the previous day , as I strongly believe in not wasting food , you can simply break bread and grind roughly to crumbs and use )
Deep fry on medium heat till golden
For the sauce you can either use plain mayo or tarter sauce as per your liking ( I like switching between both each time I make fish burger)
For tarter sauce
In a bowl mix together, half small finely chopped onion , 8 tbsp mayo with 4 tbsp yogurt , 4 tbsp cream , little salt , 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp vinager , 4-5 chopped olives , a tbsp chopped pickled jalapeno , 1 chopped pickled gherkin ( if u dont have gherkin then simply boil cucumber with little water , vinager and salt and use ) ( if u have a chopper , just chopperise the onion, olives and jalapeno and gherkin together) mix everything well , and add little water to adjust consistency( it shoud be a smooth sauce , not very thick or very thin )
Simply put iceberg lettuce on the bun , followed by Pattie then tarter sauce r mayo and cover and serve hot.
