Dal Tadka

Who doesnt like fancy food ? But we can have that peth bhar ke khana when theres some homecooked dal and rice or roti along . U can accompany it with so many of my fried and grilled chicken recipes , my dry mutton recipes like gheeroast and tandoori , and even my fish fry recipes .

Fill a cup with 3/4th quantity toor dal , 1/4th masoor dal and just a few grains of chana dal . Wash and add a glass of water , 2 chopped tomatoes , half tsp haldi and cook till the dal is done and mash lightly with your spoon and mix in salt to taste.

For the baghar heat some oil and ghee , add curry leaves , 5-6 cloves of garlic choped , 3-4 slit green chillies , 2 dry red chilies broken , half tsp zeera , pinch of hing , 1 small onion chopped , fry well till golden . Sprinkle lots of chopped coriander on the dal and pour the hot baghar on top and mix . Serve hot with roti or rice and your choice of non veg starter or veg.
