Chicken Tikka Pulao

A mustttt try recipe for all u rice lovers , surely  a dawat dish . I would recommend  you all  to please  use basmati  rice for all rice dishes . I use kolam as per my families  choice.

Its preferable  to use boneless leg for this recipe  but you can use with bone or boneless  breast as per  your choice.

In a big bowl mix  together  1 cup dahi , 2 tbsp garlic paste  1 tbsp ginger paste,  3 tbsp tandoori masala,  2 tsp red chilli powder,  1 tbsp kasoori  methi  , 2tsp garam masala powder,  juice  of 1 big lime , salt , some chopped coriander, and red food colour.  Mix well and mix in 750 gms of chicken . Let marinate for 2 hours  or overnight  .

Remove  all excess  marinade  from the chicken  and mix in 1 diced onion and capsicum to the chicken   .cook the chicken  in a vessel or grill till done . Lightly  roast on direct  flame with coals to give charred  effect.

In a vessel heat oil and ghee , add whole garam masala  , and cook for  few seconds.   Add 1 big sliced onion  and fry till golden.  Once  golden  put half cup water and close the lid immidiately.  Let  cook for two mins and add 1 stock cube ( optional) and the leftover  chicken  marinade.  Cook  well and add water and salt for the rice . Bring  to  a boil and add 2 cups of soaked rice . Cover n cook on high heat  till wated dries  then keep on tava on  v low heat on dum for 10 mins.  Give it  a stir and add the grilled  chicken  on top with lots of chopped  coriander.  Keep on dum for 5 more mins and mix well . Serve hot with  some fried potatoes  wedges  and salad.
