Chicken / Fish / Prawn / Paneer Shangai
This is a super delicious starter , ull love it if ur an indo Chinese fan.
Marinate 500 gm chicken /fish /prawn/paneer with , 1 egg (substitute a few splash of water instead of egg for paneer if ur a vegetarian) , salt , half tsp white pepper powder , 2 tsp soya sauce , 1 tbsp red chilli sauce , 1 tsp vinager , 3 tbsp maida , and 1.5 tbsp cornflour. Marinate for half hour and deep fry till golden.
In a kadhai heat oil , saute 2 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped garlic , 1 chopped green chilli for a few sec, add 2 tbsp soya sauce , 2 tbsp red chilli sauce , 2 tbsp green chilli sauce, 2 tsp shezwan sauce , 2 tbsp oyster sauce , 2 tsp vinager , 2 tsp sugar , half tsp white pepper powder and little salt , add cornflour slurry of 2 tsp cornflour mixed in 1 cup water , and cook till it boils, add sliced onion , little sliced carrot , some sliced capcicum ( i also add sliced baby corn, brocolli, and red yellow bell pepper when available ) saute well for a min , add the fried chciken / paneer /fish /prawn , add a splash of water if needed and cook well for a minute . Lastly sprinkle some spring onion greens and serve hot as a starter or along with fried rice.
