Badshahi Grass Halwa

China grass halwa has been a dawat special forever even in it’s basic form . This rich taste makes this much more delicious and is ready to impress your guests .

Just bring 1 litre of milk to boil and put 1 and 1/4th cup sugar and let it dissolve . Then add 4 tbsp nuts powder ( just grind a little each of kaju Badam and pista ) also add some sliced nuts and charoli if u like . Add a pinch of saffron , 1 tsp elaichi powder and little yellow color . Cook this milk for atleast 15-20 mins and keep stirring in between.

Meanwhile soak 8-10 gm of china grass in 1.5 cup water for 15 min and then cook it nicely till the grass has completely dissolved. Add this cooked grass to the milk mixture and cook for another 5 minutes .

Then fill in bowls or tray and let set . Then sprinkle some more nuts on top if you like and Keep in fridge for 2 hours and serve chilled.
