Chinese Chicken Char Siu
This is a musstttttt try restaurant style indo Chinese that u guys haveeeee to try out .
Usually this is made using ready char siu sauce but I have shown how to make without it .
Firstly marinate 500 gm boneless chicken strips with salt , half tsp black pepper powder, 1 egg , 2 tbsp Maida and 1 tbsp corn flour . Let marinate till half hour and deep fry till golden brown.
In a grinder jug , grind together 2 whole kashmiri red chilli , 4 tbsp tomato ketchup , 3 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp honey , 1 tbsp brown sugar ( use regular sugar if u don’t have) , 2 tbsp red chilli sauce, 1 tsp red chilli powder ,2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 chicken stock cube , 1 tsp white pepper powder , 1 tsp ajinomoto, 1/4th tsp garam masala powder , little salt , 1 tbsp corn flour , little water and pinch of red color . Blend everything to a fine paste . Keep aside
In a Kadhai heat oil and fry a handful of broken kaju , add 2 broken red chilli and sauté till golden . Add 1.5 tbsp chopped garlic and 1 tbsp chopped onion ( I’ve just chopperised both together) sauté well on high heat till fragrant and add 1 diced capsicum and 1 diced onion . Sauté on high heat and add the paste we had prepared. Stir a little water in the grinder jar and put . Cook and add the fried chicken and stir fry on high heat till well coated . Lastly add a handful of chopped spring onions and serve hot as a starter or with roti or fried rice.
