Mango Triffle / Mix Fruit Triffle
This is a must have dessert at my end evry mango season . So here’s the recipe b4 the best quality of mangoes come to the market ( I feel the mangoes in Feb March are chemically produced and don’t have that taste ) I Also make it sometimes with mix fruits when mangoes are not available.
I make these in small glasses if u want u can make in a big bowl or tray as well .
For the custard …. heat 500 ml of milk and add 3/4th cup of sugar and 2 tbsp custard powder dissolved in 1 cup of water. Cook well till thick and let cool( this is slight thicker comparing to regular custard)
Set 1 packet of raspberry jelly according to packet instructions .
To assemble … in a glass put a layer of crumbled vanilla sponge cake ( u can take sponge from mongenis or plain cake from any bakery )
Put a spoon of mix Fruit juice ( u can use any brand real or tropicana etc) on this put a spoon of chopped raspberry jelly then lots of chopped mangoes or mix fruit of ur choice , then 2-3 tbsp custard , then 1 tbsp amul cream then more chopped raspberry jelly . Chill and serve.
