Restaurant Style Malai Kofta

I just love paneer and this is one of my fave paneer dishes . This can be enjoyed with chapati , tandoori roti, naan , garlicnaan etc or even rice .

For the koftas…. marinate 250 gm crumbled paneer with 2 mashed potatoes , 1 chopped green chilli, half tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp each of haldi , dhanya, zeera and garam masala powder , half tsp chilli flakes , salt , 2 tsp corn flour and some chopped coriander . Mix well and make koftas ( round or oblong) and coat with cornflour and deep fry till golden. Keep aside.
Ps. U can stuff kaju and kishmish in between like restaurants. I dont like the flavour so i have not put .
To make cheezy version stuff grated processed cheese in the middle making slightly big koftas

For the gravy …. heat oil in a kadhai , add 2 elaichi , half tsp whole zeera , small pc of dalchini , 2 laung .. let crackle and add 1 big sliced onion and fry till slight golden, add 2 chopped tomatoes, 2 green chillies ,a fist of kaju , 8-9 cloves garlic and saute well . Add 1 tsp red chilli powder , half tsp each of haldi , dhanya , zeera , garam masala powder , 1 tbsp kasoori methi , some chopped coriander , salt and 4 tbsp dahi . Saute welll . Let cool and grind to paste . Heat oil amd butter in the same kadhai and add the paste , add 5 tbsp cream and cook well , add little water to adjust consistancy .
Just a min b4 serving heat the gravy well and add as many koftas u need and bring to slight boil. Serve hot.

Ps. If making cheezy kofta … remove kofas in serving plate Nd pour the hot gravy on top
If u are eating the gravy for lunch and dinner than just add koftas enough for lunch and cook … add the leftover koftas just b4 serving dinner. As the koftas are soft and melt in the mouth they will break if absorb too much gravy.
